Lyca’s Gnanam Foundation Supports University Students’ Scholarships in Mullaitivu

Saravanabavananthasivam Foundation, jointly with Lyca’s Gnanam Foundation, identified university students in need from Mullaitivu District who are mostly victims of war and offered them a scholarship of Rs 5 000 each month as educational support.

The first batch of 50 students selected from Mullaitivu district were granted Rs 5000 in financial support for their education for the month of July and the funds were transferred to their respective individual bank accounts on 24th July 2014 by Lyca’s Gnanam Foundation.

Continuation of this grant to university student till the completion of their higher education will ensure a strong and knowledgeable future generation is built to support the communities living in most difficult conditions in the north and east of Sri Lanka.
